Mobile Mechanic Service Policy, Warranty & Disclaimers

1. Service Policy:

 

  • All services will be clearly explained to the customer before work begins. You will receive a written estimate that must be approved before any work is performed.
  • Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed.
  • For your safety and the safety of our technicians, please ensure the area around your vehicle is clear of obstructions.
  • We reserve the right to refuse installation of any component that we believe may jeopardize the safety or reliable operation of your vehicle. If you choose to supply your own parts, we will not be responsible for any defects or performance issues.

2. Safety and Parts Supplied by the Customer:

 

  • We reserve the right to refuse installation of any part that may compromise the safety of your vehicle. If a part is deemed unsafe or unsuitable for your vehicle, installation may be declined.
  • Please do not stand over or interrupt our technicians during the work process.

3. What to Do If a Problem Arises:

 

  • If you notice any problems related to recently completed work, contact us immediately so we can set up diagnostics to confirm a warrantable failure.
  • If a new, unrelated problem is discovered or if you disregard our technician’s recommendations, a fresh diagnostic fee will be assessed.
  • If you make your own repairs or take your vehicle elsewhere before we have a chance to assess the issue, it will void any warranties or guarantees associated with our service.

4. Driving the Car Somewhere Else:

 Important: Do not take your vehicle to any other workshop or mechanic if you have a problem, unless you are traveling. Doing so will void your warranty with us if you have someone else work on the vehicle before giving us a chance to address the issue. 

5. Parts & Workmanship:

 

  • We warranty our workmanship for 3 months or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first.
  • We do not warranty any parts supplied by the customer. If a part supplied by the customer fails, additional labor charges will apply.
  • AC services, including recharges, do not come with a warranty.
  • If you disregard the technician’s advice, our warranty will be voided.

6. Diagnostics:

 

  • Accurate diagnostics are essential to proper vehicle repair. Due to the complexity of vehicles, we cannot guarantee that one diagnosis will solve every issue.
  • If the customer provides an incorrect diagnostic, the full cost of the work is still owed.
  • Our company is not responsible for pre-existing problems unrelated to the repairs we perform or issues caused by the customer’s actions.

7. Plastic, Wires, Spark Plugs, Metal, and Rubber Parts:

 

  •  We are not responsible for any breakages of plastics, wires, spark plugs, metal, or rubber parts during repair. These parts are often brittle and can break without warning, especially when exposed to heat, liquid, sunlight, or normal wear and tear. 

8. Payment Arrangements / Refunds:

 

 

  • Payment is due upon completion of services. We do not accept payment arrangements after the fact.
  • If a job is stopped due to circumstances beyond our control or parts issues, half of the labor charge is due on that day, with the balance due when the job is completed.
  • Refunds will only be issued with proof of a verifiable printed receipt from a licensed mechanic.

9. Threats to Our Associates:

 

  •  We maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding threats, yelling, or cursing directed at our associates. Any such behavior will result in immediate termination of the work, and we will contact authorities if needed. We reserve the right to block you from further services. 

10. Diagnostic Fees:

 

  •  In-depth diagnostics are charged at $95. This fee will be credited towards any repairs if performed within 30 days, excluding AC diagnostics, non-fixable vehicles, and pre-purchase inspections. Any additional diagnostics will be discounted. 

11. Part Retrieval Fees:

 If a technician needs to retrieve parts, a $10 fuel charge will apply for a 10-mile radius, or $30 for a 20-mile radius. If more than 30 minutes are spent retrieving parts, a $50 charge will be added for each additional 30-minute interval unless communication is provided.  In-depth diagnostics are charged at $95. This fee will be credited towards any repairs if performed within 30 days, excluding AC diagnostics, non-fixable vehicles, and pre-purchase inspections. Any additional diagnostics will be discounted. 

12. Cancellation Policy:

 

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment will incur a $65 fee. Prepaid services, such as used car inspections or AC recharge services, will incur an $85 cancellation fee.
  • If the technician cannot access the property, or if the customer is unavailable or unresponsive within 15 minutes of the technician’s communication, the job will be canceled, and a cancellation fee will apply.
  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method and may take 5-7 days to complete.
